Youth and Family Well Being Specialist

Our client is currently seeking to ad a Youth and Family Well Being Specialist to their team. In this role you’ll engage directly with children, youth, families, and adults—delivering therapeutic programming, building community partnerships, and applying culturally responsive, trauma-informed support to improve long-term wellbeing.
You’ll be:
* In schools and community spaces
* Leading youth workshops and parenting groups
* Delivering culturally safe and inclusive care
* Supporting families with resilience-focused strategies
* Collaborating across sectors and programs
What You Bring:
* Knowledge of youth mental health, risk and protective factors, and community-based healing
* Strong understanding of how race, gender, identity, and systemic oppression affect racialized youth
* Passion for community engagement, intersectoral partnerships, and co-creating solutions
* A post-secondary degree or diploma in social work, community services, psychology, or a related field
* Experience delivering trauma-informed and anti-oppressive services
* Comfort using tools like Notion®, Google Calendar®, and other project platforms
* Excellent facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills
Bonus if you have:
* Training in SNAP® (Stop Now and Plan) or similar programs
* Skills in culturally responsive parent engagement
* Experience with program development, group facilitation, or mentorship
* A strong commitment to decolonial and pro-2SLGBTQiA approaches in practice
What You’ll Do:
* Provide one-on-one and family-based counselling and outreach
* Facilitate therapeutic group programs in schools and the community
* Support youth transitioning to adulthood with programs and internships
* Develop and lead community presentations and youth engagement events
* Collaborate on program design, evaluation, and community advocacy
* Create culturally rooted and inclusive interventions
* Attend regular team meetings and professional development
* Champion wellness, equity, and systemic change
